The Jewish cemetery at nearby Ansbach, where the late Agudist leader Dr. Pinchas Kohn served as rabbi for many years, was desecrated for the third time in five years this week. The perpetrators, whom the police were unable to catch in 1948 and 1950, have again escaped detection.
The Jewish cemetery at Montabaur in the Westerwald mountains, which had survived the Nazi period almost intact, has been turned into a field of debris. Nearly all the tombstones have been overturned and many of them destroyed. The police have declared they are unable to identify the hoodlums.
