James I. Ellman, president of the Zionist Organization here, made the following explanation of his acceptance of membership on the Jabotinsky reception committee: “I accepted membership on this committee simply because I admire Vladimir Jabotinsky as an outstanding writer, speaker and leader. By serving on this committee, however, I wish it to be known that in no sense do I endorse the Revisionist party and its program.”
This viewpoint was endorsed by Jeannette M. Steinberg of Hadassah, who has also accepted membership on the reception committee.
