For the first time in the history of the Detroit Service Group, fund-raising agency of the Jewish Welfare Federation, a woman has been elected president.
The office has fallen to Mrs. Joseph H. Ehrlich, member of the national board of Hadassah. She is considered Detroit’s outstanding woman leader in Jewish affairs.
Other officers chosen were: Aaron DeRoy, honorary president; Adolph Finsterwald, honorary chairman of the board; Clarence H. Enggass, chairman of the board; Maurice Aronsson, vice-chairman of the board; Israel Himelhoch, Julian H. Krolik, Henry Meyers and Simon Shetzer, vice-presidents; and Esther R. Prussian, secretary.
