Louis James Rosenberg, former U. S. Consul to Spain, and prominent international lawyer, was recommended to President Hoover by Senator Arthur H. Vandenberg of Michigan for appointment as delegate to the international conference for codification of international law.
A joint resolution appropriating $25,000 for the expenses of the United States delegates to the conference, which is to convene at The Hague in March. was passed by the U. S. Senate last Wednesday.
