Complaints by Jewish viewers about a cartoon shown on Detroit’s television station WXYZ-TV has brought an apology from the station, which has halted further showings of the cartoon.
Jewish viewers communicated with the Detroit Jewish Community Council, which immediately transmitted the complaints to the station. The Council has advised affiliated community agencies and national groups of the development, in an effort to forestall the showing of the film in other communities. The objectionable cartoon was part of the “Little King” series.
