A $20,000 gift from a Detroit widow, Mrs. Dorothy Kay, has led to the establishment of the Leon Kay Scholarship Fund at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. The gift will enable the granting of three to five full scholarships each year.
The late Mr. Kay was one of the pioneer founders of the Detroit Chapter of the American Technion Society and served as national vice-president of the Society. For many years he was a member of Technion’s International Board of Governors and a member of the national executive committee of the American Technion Society. An investor in Israel as well, Mr. Kay helped to expand and develop stone quarry operations in Israel.
