Congressman Samuel Dickstein yesterday took Salman O. Levinson, head of the Chicago Committee for the Defense of Human Rights, to task for having permitted the incorporation of the DAWA, anti-Jewish boycott league, in Illinois more than a month ago.
“Where was your brain trust and anti-defamation league, when the incorporation of this organization was permitted?” Mr. Dickstein asked in a letter. He also stated that testimony taken by the Congressional Committee investigating Nazism in the United States revealed that Otto K. Eitel, manager of the Stevens Hotel, where the DAWA convention is to be held October 20-25, is allowing DAWA to use the hotel exhibition hall without charge.
