Jews in occupied France discarded their yellow Mogen Dovids when they heard that British and American armed forces had made a landing in Dieppe, the Nazi-controlled Paris radio reported today in commenting on the immediate reaction in Paris last week during the Dieppe battle.
Private Louis Kline, next-of-kin of Harry Kline, Memphis, Tenn., is listed among the missing in the first casualty list of the Dieppe raid made public here today. Harold Bergman, a young Jewish officer from Winnipeg, is reported among the Canadian fighters who returned safely from the epic battle.
