Chairman Martin Dies announced today that here after his House Committee on Un-American activities will confine itself to hearing witnesses and will turn all the results of this evidence over to the President, the Federal Bureau of Investigation or other authorized Government agencies.
This move was the climax of the rapprochement reached between the administration and Dies by which complete cooperation has been promised by all concerned.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Interior Harold Ickes ordered all employes of his department to state under oath whether they are members of organizations suspected of fifth column activities.
