Scheduled passenger service from Israel to New York was inaugurated here today by the Israel National Airlines, El Al. The first plane, a long-range constellation, left today carrying Eliezer Kaplan, Israel’s Minister of Finance, and a number of Israeli journalists. Two flights will be made by El Al weekly. The planes are equipped with kosher food. They will be allowed to pick up passengers in London for New York.
