Disabled Jewish war veterans in nearby hospitals and Jewish workers in the CCC will be guests at a community seder commemorating the Passover holidays to be held Friday evening in the auditorium of the Jewish Community Center.
The seder is being sponsored by the Jewish War Veterans of this city and the community center. Other organizations to participate are the Argo Lodge, B’nai B’rith, the Amity Club and the Brotherhood of the Washington Hebrew Congregation.
The services will be a duplication of those held for the American Expeditionary Forces in Paris in 1919 and will be led by Al Shefferman, who conducted the services in France.
In charge of the event is the following committee: Nat Silverberg, chairman; Tobias Cooper, Albert Jacobson, Joe Barr, Dr. Meyer Ostrower, Dr. Ivy Pelzman and Mrs. Judith Harmel representing the Jewish War Veterans, and David Weiner, Edward Rosenblum, Maurice Bisgeyer, and Abe Shefferman of the Jewish Community Center.
