Continuing his excavations on Mount Ophel, Prof. Crowfeet has discovered, forty feet beneath the surface, on rock level, two walls.
These walls, which are 22 feet thick. are believed by Prof. Crowfeet to have been part of the entrance to the Fortress of Akra, which was built by King Antiochus Epiphanes for the Syrian garrison, 168 B. C., which is mentioned in the first book of the Maccabees.
