All students implicated in any sort of public disorder will lose the prerogative of postponing their period of military service and will be immediately enrolled for such service, the government authorities decided today. Meanwhile the students’ action in seeking to attack the house of the popular General Mardarescu Tuesday night is creating widespread indignation. Professor Cuza’s part in the same demonstration is also arousing unfavorable comment.
At a press conference today, undersecretary Calinescu stated that the 18 students arrested during last night’s affair will be treated as ordinary lawbreakers and severely punished.
