Revenue of the Palestine Electric Corporation in the first five months of 1939 showed an increase of 6 1/2 per cent over the same period last year, Lord Samuel has reported to the ordinary general meeting of the corporation.
The corporation did not suffer despite continued Palestine disorders, Lord Samuel said. Net profit for 1938 was L183,192. The directors recommended a final dividend of 2 1/2 per cent on Ordinary and A Ordinary shares, making a total of 5 per cent for the year. The dividends are tax exempt.
