A congrese of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in Germany, the representative body of Jewish DP’s in the U.S. zone, will be held on Feb. 15, it was announced here today.
The congress was originally scheduled for Jan. 27, but has been postponed to provide time for new elections of delegates to be held in the camps. The elections which were held last Sunday have been voided, because polling took place in only few camps as a result of poor coordination between the camps and committee headquarters here.
American feature films have begun to arrive here and are being circulated among the camps as part of the JDC’s special service program. The JDC has printed summaries of each film in Yiddish explaining the action to the camp audiences.
