Delegates from all camps for displaced Jews in the U.S. zone in Germany will gather in Munich on January 20 to confer on problems of emigration and improvement of living conditions. The conference will also discuss the question of reparations to the surviving Jews for property destroyed or confiscated by the Germans.
The Central Committee of Liberated Jews in Southern Germany has sent a memorandum to the U.S. headquarters in Frankfurt asking for support in training liberated Jews for future occupations the B.B.C. reports. The memorandum also asks for the creation of 30 to 40 traning farms, as well as schools for other occupations, so that Jews intending to emigrate can leave with the knowledge of a trade.
In the Schongau district, a Jewish farm school, with a capacity of 500 students, is already in operation. The pupils learn breeding and raising of cattle and general farm work.
