Cabinet dissension over the draft of a new property tax, to which the religious and Progressive Party blocs had objected in the coalition government here, was healed today after a compromise formula on-taxation was adopted following a five-hour meeting of the Ministerial Economic Committee.
Under the new formula, the property tax will not be imposed on bank deposits or securities. The Economic Committee instructed the coalition presidium to draft a new measure incorporating this tax compromise.
