Sixty Americanism committee chairmen of American Legion posts in New York State were warned against the distribution of anti-Semitic publications to American Legion posts at a meeting here yesterday.
Martin B. McKneally, state chairman of the Legion’s Americanism committee told the meeting that anti-Semitic literature was being mailed from an address in Union, N. J. “It is appalling that Legion posts are being circularized with this material. We stand for the exact opposite of what is published in these anti-Semitic tracts,” he said, urging the posts to destroy the material as soon as it reaches them.
