Dr. B. L. Freedlander of the Mount Zion Hospital and Medical Center has received an $8,510 grant from the American Cancer Society to continue studies inaugurated at the hospital into chemicals which may prove useful in combatting cancer. The Mount Zionist project involves synthesizing new chemical compounds and evaluating their effectiveness as anti-cancer agents in conjunction with radiation treatment.
