The Jewish community of the Dominican Republic marked the centenary of the country’s independence by presenting a painting to the government. The painting was accepted by Attorney-General Public M. Paulion, on behalf of President Trujilio, at ceremonies attended by high government officials and diplomatic representatives. Dr. Walter Robitschek, president of the Jewish community, made the presentation.
