Mrs. Dorothy B. Moyer, national vice-president of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, died here yesterday, aged 58. She was the wife of Elmer L, Moyer, president of the Jewish Community Council of Dayton.
Mrs. Moyer, one of the outstanding Jewish communal leaders here, has served as vice-president and secretary of the Jewish Community Council, secretary of the Community Welfare Council, chairman of the Jewish Community Center, and campaign chairman of the women’s division of the United Jewish Campaign. She was also treasurer of the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, president of the Ohio Federation of Sisterhoods, and national treasurer of the Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority Foundation.
Mrs. Moyer was also active in all major civic and community endeavors in the Greater Dayton area. Funeral services will be held here tomorrow, at Temple Israel.
