Dorothy Thompson, the writer, has been awarded the Richard J.H. Gottheil Medal of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. The medal is awarded annually, on the basis of a poll of Anglo-Jewish editors, for aid to the Jews and democracy. Presentation was made at a luncheon Wednesday by Harold Riegelman, former executive of the fraternity, who praised Miss Thompson’s “instinct for freedom,” her “indomitable courage and selfless devotion.”
