Dozens of soccer fans were injured in a crush at an Israeli stadium. Sunday night’s accident at Jerusalem’s Teddy Stadium happened when supporters of the city’s Beitar team, which had just beaten the visiting Hapoel Petah Tikva, stormed the pitch in jubilation.
At least 50 people were squashed between the crowd and a security fence before police managed to dismantle it. Two of the casualties were hospitalized in serious condition. An investigation is under way.
