A DP training center at Bad Wiessee, forty miles south of Munich, is threatened with a shutdown following the graduation of its current class of 150 Jewish leaders tonight.
An order released today reveals that the Army Air Forces in Germany has requisitioned the school site for a recreation camp. The center has been maintained by UNRRA since last fall and has trained DP’s and Allied military and civilian personnel for camp administration.
A two-week class is scheduled to start this Sunday, but the Army’s sudden order has resulted in its postponement. Unless the Army agrees to provide an alternative site for the school, it will be closed completely.
