Funeral services were held today at Kiryat-Anavin for Akiba Jacob Ettinger, 73, an agronomist who pioneered in the planting of fruit and edible grapes in Palestine. Dr. Ettinger died hers yesterday. He was at one time the director of the Jewish Colonization Association in Southern Russia, Argentina and Brazil. His burial place at Kiryat-Anavim was the scene of his first experiments here.
