Dr. Albert Vajs, prominent Yugoslav attorney and educator, and president of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Yugoslavia since 1948, died in Belgrade this weekend, it was reported here today from the Yugoslav capital. He was 58 years old.
Born in Zemun, Dr. Vajs was a member of the executive of the World Jewish Congress since 1953 A professor of law at the University of Belgrade, he represented the Yugoslav Government on the International Military Tribunal during the Nuremberg war crimes trials.
