Dr. Henry Arnstein, internationally known chemist and consultant to South American republics, died here yesterday following a brief illness. Dr. Arnstein participated in Philadelphia’s Jewish affairs and was a member of B’nai B’rith and the Adath Jeshurun Congregation.
Dr. Arnstein was born forty-eight years ago in New York City, where he received his early education. He held degrees from the Universities of Budapest, Berlin and Heidelberg.
In 1917 he married Nettie Becker, who survives him. He is also mourned by his two sons, Bernard and Lawrence Hugo. Funeral services will be held Friday. Burial will be at the Adath Jeshurun Cemetery.
