Dr. Aron Syngalowski, world leader of the ORT, died here today following a heart attack several days ago. He arrived here from Geneva, the world seat of the ORT. where he has been living since World War II. He was 67 years old His body will be taken to Geneva for burial tomorrow or Tuesday.
Born in Russia, he received a university education there and, as a student, was active in Jewish life, becoming known as an inspiring public speaker. In 1909 he left Russia for Germany, where he studied and became an attorney. However, he never practiced law. Instead he devoted all his life to promoting the work of the ORT in all parts of the world. He was also the author of numerous works on social and economic problems
