Dr. Baer Epstein, delegate to America of the Head Office of the Jewish National Fund, died at the age of 48 at 1 a.m. this morning at his Bronx residence, after a brief illness.
Dr. Epstein, a chemist, a native of Vilna, came to the United States in 1914 and visited every Jewish community in behalf of the Keren Kayemeth. The success in recent yearsof the Zionist movement in Argentine and in other South American republics is attributed to Dr. Epstein.
The National Fund envoy made in July last year, his first and only visit to Palestine.
