Dr. Alexander Bein, Israel author and one of the outstanding living authorities on the life and letters of Theodor Herzl, has arrived in this country in connection with Herzl Year and to do research for the expansion of Zionist archives in Israel.
Dr. Bein, since 1936 the assistant director of the Central Zionist Archives of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem, was invited to the United States by the Agency in New York. While here, he will scour various American collections and archives where much valuable and hitherto unpublished material exists relating to Zionist history and Herzl. He plans to study the organization and administration of archives in this country. He will also lecture.
