Dr. Bernard Hausner, Jewish leader and representative of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will arrive here this week aboard the S.S. Pulaski on a mission for the Polish government.
His efforts to stimulate trade between Poland and Palestine brought about his appointment by the Polish government in 1927 as Financial Commercial Counselor in Palestine, and later as Polish Consul General in Tel Aviv, which post he occupied until 1933. At one time Dr. Hausner served as Deputy in the Sejm. He is a Zionist and heads both the Mizrachi Organization and the Jewish National Fund in Galicia.
