Dr. James Bernstein, European Commissioner of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) arrived here from Paris yesterday on the Britannic. While here Dr. Bernstein will confer with the HIAS officers and members of the board of directors on the Jewish situation abroad. He will in particular discuss the German-Jewish refugee problem.
Dr. Bernstein will present a report of the HIAS work in foreign countries at a meeting of the board of directors tomorrow evening at the Society’s headquarters, 425 Lafayette Street.
