Dr. Bertram W. Korn of Philadelphia, an authority in the field of American Jewish history, particularly on the Civil War era, was elected president of the American Jewish Historical Society at its 57th annual meeting here yesterday. He succeeded Dr. Jacob R. Marcus of Cincinnati who was elected honorary president of the society.
