Dr. Alexander Brin, editor and publisher of the Jewish Advocate of Boston, was unanimously elected president of the Veteran Journalists Association at the annual dinner meeting of the group.
Dr. Brin was acclaimed as “one of the most respected names in American journalism,” an editor “who is passionately devoted to the highest standards of newspaper publication.” The nominating committee was headed by Judge Frank Donahue of the Massachusetts Superior Court and it included Daniel O’Brien, Sunday editor of the Boston Globe. Dr. Brin succeeds Earl Banner of the Boston Globe.
