Israel’s Interior Minister Dr. Yosef Burg arrived here today for a short visit to study the religious and cultural life of Argentina’s Jewish community. He was greeted at the airport by Israeli Ambassador Eliezer Doron and Chief Rabbi David Kahane. Dr. Burg told newsmen that Israel was firmly resolved to obtain a peace settlement with the Arabs, based on security. “Meanwhile,” he added, “we continue talking with American and European leaders.” Dr. Burg will meet with Argentina’s Interior Minister later this week. At a luncheon meeting of the Latin American Jewish Congress, Itzhak Korn, Mapai Knesset member, spoke on the reorganization of the World Jewish Congress which will be initiated at the next Plenary Assembly of the WJC executive board.
