Dr. Cornelius Berkhouwer, Dutch chairman of the European Parliament, said last week during his visit in Israel, that any Arab oil boycott against Europe in the future would be less effective than that imposed during the Yom Kippur War. He said the Arabs may realize that their own interests are ultimately not served by further harming Europe. Dr. Berkhouwer added that Europe must try to maintain a balance in its relations with all the Middle East countries.
