announcement is made that at the last meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Publication Society, June 2nd, Dr. Cyrus Adler, President of Dropsie College, was elected Chairman of the Publication Committee of the society, to fill the vacancy left by the late judge Mayer Sulzberger, who was chairman of the committee from the inception of the society until his death in April, 1923.
Dr. Adler has been associated with the work of the society from its beginning, having been present at the organization meeting in 1888, and having served on many of its committees and on its board.
