Dr. Dujovne, Argentine Jewish Leader, Honored by W.j.c. in New York

Dr. Leon Dujovne, of Buenos Aires, a leading member of the Argentinian Jewish community, was the guest today of the American Section of the World Jewish Congress at a reception in Congress House. A scholar and journalist, Dr. Dujovne is the editor of the Argentinian Jewish weekly “Mundo Israelita.”

Dr. Dujovne is in New York on his way to Israel at the invitation of President Shazar. In Israel he will lecture on cultural aspects of South America as well as on the situation of the Jewish communities in the Latin American culture. The Argentinian Jewish leader will also have discussions with the Hebrew University concerning the creation of a faculty for Latin American studies.
