Dr. Emanuel Libman, eminent physician and scientist, was honored on the occasion of his seventieth birthday by an anniversary dinner last night given by the American Friends of the Hebrew University, the American Jewish Physicians Committee, and a group of Dr. Libman’s friends, at the Hotel Waldorf Astoria.
Dr. Libman has made significant, original contributions to pathology, bacteriology and clinical medicine. He is a member of the board of governors of the Hebrew University. Dr. Morris Fishbein, editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association; Rabbi Stephen S. Wise; Colonel Leonard G. Rowntree; and Dr. Joseph H. Pratt were among the guest speakers at the dinner. Dr. Nathan Ratnoff presided.
