Dr. Emil Sommerstein, former Jewish deputy in the Polish Sejm, has been located in a hospital near Saratov, on the Volga, the Polish Ambassador Stanislaw Kot cabled today from Kuibyshev.
Kot stated that Sommerstein is gravely ill, and that the Polish authorities are attempting to have him transferred to Kuibyshev. The Polish ambassador also revealed that although Sommerstein was officially released as of Nov. 19, 1941, he was not actually freed until last April 9.
