Better times for Roumanian Jews seem to be in sight if indications of the present political situation in the country point in the right direction.
Dr. William Filderman, head of the Union of Roumanian Jews, was received by Prince Stirbey in audience. Dr. Filderman thanked the Premier for the manifesto which the Premier issued in which he guaranteed the equal rights of Roumanian Jews. It was learned also that Dr. Filderman is now negotiating with Bratianu and Duea of the Liberal Party concerning an understanding between that party and the Jewish voters. It is understood that the Liberals are ready to guarantee five seats to the Jewish population in Parliament and two mandates.
Dr. Filderman will be the candidate for Bucharest.
