Dr. Louis Gershenfeld, professor of Bacteriology and Hygiene at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, has been appointed to the editorial staff of the Dispensatory of the United States, only English encyclopedia of medicaments, J.B. Lippincott Co., publishers, announced today.
Dr. Gershenfeld is said to be the first Jew to be associated with the staff. He is vice-president of B’nai B’rith’s District 3 and active in Jewish affairs. He is also director of the bacteriological and clinical chemistry laboratory at the Philadelphia College.
