Dr. Gershon Gelbart, educator and communal worker, was appointed executive director of the Independent Pianists of America this week-end, it was announced by Judge Louis L. Levinthal, chairman of the organization. Dr. Gelbart has been active in Jewish education, community center and community organization work for the past 28 years in Philadelphia, Washington, the mid-west and in Israel.
