Dr. Nelson Glueck, president of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and internationally known archaeologist, received today the fourth annual award of the Seminary Israel Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
Dr. Glueck was cited for “his invaluable contributions to the knowledge of Scripture and of the history of the land of Israel in Biblical and pre-Biblical times as well as to the welfare and the advancement of the State of Israel in our day.”
