Dr. Nahum Goldmann, co-chairman of the Jewish Agency, announced here today that he would proceed to Germany to confer with United States High Commissioner John J. McCloy on problems concerning the Jewish Restitution Successors Organization and problems arising out of the recent conference on Jewish claims against Germany held in New York. He will be accompanied by Benjamin Ferenc, head of the J.R.S.O.
An Israeli spokesman today denied reports appearing in Hamburg newspapers that Israeli and German representatives in London were intensively preparing for a meeting between West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, who is now visiting here, and Israeli representatives.
The luncheon to be given on Friday by the Foreign Press Association to Dr. Adenauer has caused a split among the association’s Jewish members. A number of them have announced their intention to boycott the affair.
