Dr. Goldmann Reports Outlook for U.J.A. and Israel Bond Drive is Good

Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the Jewish Agency, reported here today that the outlook for the United Jewish Appeal drive and Israel bond drive in the United States is very good. He spoke at a meeting of the Jewish Agency executive.

Dr. Goldmann reported that the Zionist movement in the United States is expanding its public relations activities. He stressed the importance of Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett’s visit to the United States and dwelt on the possibility of the U.S. Government selling arms to Israel.

The Jewish Agency chairman revealed that the presidents of major Jewish organizations in the United States are jointly calling a conference in Washington to discuss American-Israel relations. More than 400 leading American Jews from all parts of the country have been invited to attend the conference, which will take place in the middle of next month, Dr. Goldmann reported.
