Dr. Israel Goldstein was honored at a City Hall ceremony today marking his completion of 4 years in the rabbinate. Rabbis A. Alan Steinbach and Harold H. Gordon, president and executive vice president, respectively, of the New York Board of Rabbis presented him with a scroll, signed by Mayor Robert F. Wagner and others, including Israel Consul General Simcha Pratt and Charles H. Silver, president of the New York City Board of Education and of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, of which Dr. Goldstein is the spiritual leader.
