Dr. Arthur Hertzberg, a prominent Jewish historian and educator, was elected president of the Conference on Jewish Social Studies at its annual meeting here. Dr. Hertzberg succeeds Dr. Salo W. Baron, who was one of the founders of the Social Studies Conference in 1933.
