Dr. Ignatz Koerner, founder and leader of the Vienna sport club Hakoah, resigned from the presidency of the organization at the annual meeting of the club held here yesterday. In giving up the leadership of the Hakoah, Dr. Koerner strongly criticised the tendency that has developed among some of its members which he termed “denationalizing professionalism.”
At the meeting a stormy debate developed when the financial report was submitted, showing that the American tours of the soccer team were a financial failure, resulting in an indebtedness of 100,000 Schillings ($14,070). A board of directors was elected.
