Dr. Israel Goldstein, chairman of the Keren Hayesod, was today elected president of the World Hebrew Union. Dr. Goldstein, who is the first American to be named to the post, succeeds Israeli President Zalman Shazar, who was named honorary president of the organization. Morris Margolin, of New York, was elected to serve as president of the editorial board of Hadoar, the only Hebrew weekly published in the United States.
